Exotic bird stolen in Toronto

A 16-year-old Macaw named Tiffany escaped from its owner in Toronto, on
Wednesday. August 18, 2010. She flew to a nearby tree and was seen by several
neighbours; two males captured the bird, placed her in a cage and drove away.

TORONTO — Police are on the hunt for a stolen bird.

Tiffany, a 16-year-old macaw, was last seen around 8:30 p.m. Wednesday in the
Ferris Rd. and Squires Ave. area.

Officers from 54 Division have yet to locate the bird.

The bird flew the coop, literally, on Wednesday when it escaped from its owner
and flew to a nearby tree. Two men captured the bird, put it in a cage and then
drove away.

Anyone with information is asked to call police at 416-808-5400 or Crime
Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS.
