Karlo est un oiseau agréable, on peut le sortir de sa cage, il se promène partout dans la maison, il aime chanter et danser, il fait des roulades etc.... Je dois vous mentionner aussi qu'il s'arrache les plumes. J'ai consulté un vétérinaire spécialisé pour les oiseaux exotiques, des radiographies de ses organes internes ont été prises et ont démontré que tout était normal de ce côté.
Je lui enlève sa couverture le matin vers 06h30-07h00. Je le laisse sortir pendant que je change son eau et sa nourriture. Il reste dans sa cage pendant que nous sommes partis au travail. À notre retour du travail, nous laissons sa cage ouverte jusqu'au souper et nous lui remettons sa couverture vers 21h00.
La raison de la mise en adoption :
Je veux me départir de cet oiseau parce qu'il mord. Il n'y a que moi qui s'en occupe et j'en ai peur. J'avais acheté l'oiseau au départ pour ma fille en 2012, qui arrive à le prendre ainsi que mon conjoint qui ne le craint pas, mais personne ne s'en occupe mis à part moi et l'oiseau me mord constamment. Maintenant je suis très craintive et je n'ai aucun plaisir en m'en occuper. Je ne veux pas le faire euthanasier non plus, l'oiseau est jeune et a une longue espérance de vie. Je trouve dommage de m'en départir, mais il y a sûrement quelqu'un qui aurait plus de plaisir et de facilité que moi à le garder.
Des frais d'adoption de $200.00 seront exigés pour cet oiseau qui vient avec sa cage et ses choses. Nous suggérons à l'adoptant d'effectuer des vérifications pour voir si son problème de picage est médical ou comportemental. Avec le nombre impressionnant de repousses, il semble y avoir eu un problème récent. Quoi qu'il en soit, il y a possiblement des chances de pouvoir l'aider, à moins que ce ne soit comportemental et si c'est le cas, le changer de milieu serait peut-être la meilleure chose à faire. L'adoptant potentiel devra de bonne foi accepter de prendre un rendez-vous chez un vétérinaire aviaire à ses frais, pour vérifier la possible cause du picage.

Karlo is a nice bird, we let him out of his cage, he walks around the house, loves to sing and dance, he rolls over etc .... I have to mention that he plucks his feathers. I consulted a veterinarian specializing in exotic birds about this, X-rays of his internal organs were taken and showed everything to be normal.
We remove his blanket in the morning around 06h30-07h00. I let him out while I change his water and food. He remains in his cage while we are away at work. When we return from work, we leave the cage open until supper time, than we put his blanket on around 21:00.
Reason for placing in adoption:
I want to part from this bird because he bites me. I'm the only one who takes care of him and I'm afraid of him. To begin with, i bought the bird for my daughter in 2012, who's able to handle him and so does my husband who doens't fear him at all, but nobody takes care of him except me and the bird bites me constantly. Now I am very fearful and I have no pleasure in taking care of him. I don't want to have him euthanized, this bird is still young and has a long life expectancy. I feel bad about the situation, but surely he will be better off with someone who will understand his needs.
The adoption fee for this bird is $200.00 and the bird comes with his cage and things. We will suggest that the adopter consult an avian vet with the bird about his plucking problem, to see if the reason for it is medical or behavioral. With the impressive number of new growing feathers, it seems to be a fairly recent problem. Anyway, likely there is a possibly to help him with his feather plucking, unless it is a behavior problem and if is, the change of environment might be the best thing to do for him. The potential adopter must in good faith agree to take an appointment with an avian veterinarian at his own expense to check the possible cause of his feather plucking.
